Here is a guide of the steps I take to place you with your perfect nanny.
Please reach us at thenannynetwork@hotmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Get in touch! Our consultation starts when you first reach out to me, this is when you let me know everything you're looking for in a nanny. Also I will share my knowledge and expertise to advise you on the best solution for your childcare needs. I will also go through salary rates and expectations regarding duties to expect from your Nanny and the responsibilities and expectations as you an Employer. I have over 10 years experience in many childcare settings, meeting many family with differing dynamics and can offer knowledgeable advice.
I will begin my networking. Once I have a good understanding of the vacancy you have, I draft a job advert and share it on my website, social media and reach out to the network of Nannies already registered on my books.
I will personally interview potential candidates for you to see if they're the right fit. Asking a range of childcare related questions, i.e. correct bottle feeding preparation, sterilising of toys, experience they have and anything else tailored your requirements. I ensure all Nannies have up to date DBS checks and paediatric first aid training. Qualifications, ID's and references will be also checked.
After selecting Nannies suitable for the job description, I will send you their CV's and cover letters to overlook and if you are happy, I can arrange an interview with you and candidates, this could be over the phone or in person. Throughout this process it's important to ask questions - no question is too trivial, it's important to be open.
When you are ready to make an offer to a Nanny, I will negotiate salary and contract terms and provide a bespoke contract of employment following employment regulations. I will also manage any amendments to the contract until both parties are happy for the contract of employment to be signed. I then make sure both parties have a signed copy for their records and safe keeping.
The Nanny Network is proud to be affiliated with and support a small business called The Pink Payroll Company, who deal with all your pay roll and HR needs to ensure families following the correct procedures with employing a Nanny.
Even though we have made it this far and signed the contracts, there still may be questions and queries. I am always happy to help and will keep in touch to make sure the first few months of your family nanny relationship is working out they way we hoped and expected. My aim is to create long term happy working relationships for both parties.
Only when I have found you the right Nanny for your needs that you are happy to employ and both parties have signed the contract with The Nanny Network (TM) on will I charge a ‘one off’ finder’s fee:
For permanent placements, a ‘one off fee’ is calculated at 12% percent of the applicant’s annual gross salary.
For temporary placements, the fee is a charge of £80 per week for the duration of employment.
Temp to perm. Should the nanny be retained permanently, the temporary fee is deducted from the permanent finder’s fee that is due.
As well as finding you an amazing Nanny to help your family on a permanent basis, I can also source someone for you babysitting needs, this could be evenings, weekends, weddings and at local hotels who The Nanny Network are affiliated with.
The process is very much the same, I will make sure they have an update DBS check, first aid and 1 reference. Confirm they are available, then hand over their contact details to you.
Once the babysitting job is booked through The Nanny Network, I will charge a booking fee.
For evening babysitting starting after 6pm a booking fee of £4 will be invoiced to you.
For day time babysitting starting before 6pm a booking fee of £5 will be invoiced to you.
For a wedding nanny (all day between 8-24 hours) a booking fee of £6 will be invoiced to you. Wedding nannies are to be booked 8 weeks in advance.
